They do have a small patio, so I would guess so. I would call just to make sure as I haven't seen anyone with their dogs there.

There's not many places in Abq that have healthy fresh fish options but Slapfish is where it's at.

Hi Zy. Thanks for the excellent review. We can't wait to make that lobster roll for you!

Similar to blaze pizza, and rusty taco. Quick order at the counter and sit down to eat kind of place. I'm from Japan, I'm not expecting a perfect poke out of this place, but basmati rice, really? Poke and basmati don't really go well together. Basmati rice is too dry. If someone really wants to go there, I'll go with them and order something else but not in the cards for me.

Hi Heidi, We appreciate the honest review even though you don't love the long grain rice and poke combo. We hope you'll find another dish that really hits the spot for you.

Slapfish was a staple for me in Orange County California. I was so happy to see a location in Albuquerque. I had their crab and lobster melt on sourdough which really hit the spot.

We love Slapfish! Lots of good fish and seafood options. You can get bowls, sandwiches, burritos, fish and chips, great sides. I love the poke bowl and protein bowl. The chowder is great. Kids menu has some good options for kids. There are always daily options and seasonal items. Great sides also!. Service is quick after you order at the counter.

Slapfish was one of my go to's for the last few years. They recently were bought out by their corporate office and made big changes. You can definitely see their influence from choices of food now available to their marketing. I personally don't find any of the changes good for the consumers. They cut out a few of the foods I like as well. What they have is still good, but not as good! The store is still nice and clean, employees are great and I still aways recommend to tip your servers!!

Glad you enjoyed your experience, Chris! Can't wait to have you back.
Mar 11, 2019Previous reviewI'm a fish lover stuck in the desert happy has hell eating some great fish at Slapfish! They have a nice selection that should satisfy the picky people that won't eat seafood to the experience die hard. They even have some great fried pickles. I'm not even a fan of fried food and I have to admit I would order some. The items I have tried and liked are the shrimp cievice, Street tacos, lobster taquitos, lobster roll, Atlantic salmon, and the bud light. I haven't found anything that I don't like except the fact there is limited indoor seating and it's cold as hell out right now. Good spot, will be a regular

Always a go-to for fish & chips. My personal favorite in all of Albuquerque. Food is great, the amount of food you get for the meal is even better. I'll never stop eating here!

I have gone to Slapfish for a few years now. The fish was excellent the first couple of times. I don't get to Albuquerque as often as I like and thought I would treat myself to something special. The guy at the counter was really friendly. I ordered fish and chips. Only 1 customer came in the entire time. My fish was way too thin and over fried. I had to use the metal knife to cut through it. One piece was just batter. The coleslaw was just purple cabbage with a little dressing and herbs. The fries were seasoned really well and the best part of the meal. I guess I am just too shy to complain, which is what I should've done. Today, I just made bad choices. Even my lemon slice was dried out.

Hi Janet! We love to be your treat, and we really dislike that we didn't live up to your or our expectations. We value your feedback and would like to make up for this less-than-perfect visit. Please email marketing@machaik.com so we can make that happen.

There was nothing we didn't like. We visited another location years ago and were not too impressed, but this time everything was great. Recommend blackened shrimp and fried fish and chips. Never had fried salmon before, but they let you mix and match if you get the two-piece fish and my husband was feeling adventurous. The housemade tartar sauce was really tasty and we both enjoyed the clam chowder. Will definitely be back.
It was not too crowded, but we visited at an off-peak time. Food came out fresh and fast.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 1Business owner information

Hi Tina, This sounds awful, but I don't think it was at this Slapfish. We don't have any female cashiers right now. Please email me at marketing@machaik.com so that we can figure out what happened and we can fix it.
Mar 9, 2024Previous reviewWe (me and my family of six) drove 15 hours from Texas to Albuquerque on our way to Nevada and we were all starving. We decided to go to slap fish tonight we all ordered and two of six meals came out right. I ordered kids grilled shrimp and fries, grilled chicken and truffle on top of fries and fried chicken kids meal with xtra fries. No xtra fries , fried shrimp instead of grilled, she even delivered food to table saying they made a mistake by putting truffle on shrimp meal that again wasn't right , that was supposed to be on my grilled chicken meal. Then she asks do you have everything? I'm like no I'm missing my grilled chicken and truffle fries. She never rang it up and we had already waited 25 mins already for food. Then my husband went back up to order I even shouted grilled chicken with truffle fries.10 mins again waiting they gave me fried chicken. I can't eat breading. My husband his lobster roll was dry, lucky he didn't say nothing. What the heck is wrong with people. She didn't pay attention had no clue what she was doing mixed up everything and never rang up meal. Even the I think manager came out and asked her how long we've been waiting she said not long. Bs we waited 25+10 for mess up again. Next time I'll just go to McDonald's . Sad this is my first time to Albuquerque and this was not best first impression.
