When I couldn't get through the front door and I had to put the pizza box in the cargo area of my CRV, I thought "What did I get myself into??" But I was determined to try this place after talking with fellow Yelp friends.

It doesn't disappoint...unless you like the flavors of plastic cheese or a tasteless bread like crust. This is just good pizza. Thin chewy crust, gooey melted cheese and tasty toppings-- closest I've had to NY pizza in a long time.

No delivery, takes debit/credit cards, plenty of parking and friendly staff. I went big with the 24 inch pizza but it was World Pizza Day and these extra slices will make yummy leftovers

Truly love the pizza. They make it and cook it perfectly. AND they have Sicilian pizza which is my favorite in the world. I'm from NY and this is the only place even close enough to NY. Love love love Sal e boys!!!!!!

You know, this is actually a very quiet, under the radar excellent pie joint...way way up here on the west side. I've just recently found this place and although there's a bit of mixed reviews, my three pies have been nothing shy of stellar. Their sauce and crust are both winners in my book...and, once they finish Meadowlark, even better! :)

Just so you're not wondering...but that's a standard sized steak knife sitting there in the middle...just saying. That's a big pie eh?

Great pizza and a large one topping pizza is only $15 and the quality is great! Hot and fresh when I arrived!

Came home just plain wasted from the gym. The only thing that sounded good to me was sprawling out on the sofa and eating carbs. I really wasn't in the mood for ol' trusty Dions or some of that, not so great, big chain pizza.

I searched for a few minutes on Yelp and found Sal-E-Boy's Pizzeria. How could it be that this wanna-be ninja turtle had never heard about this joint?!

I ordered a Sal's Special and a side of wings. They told me it pizzawould be ready for pickup in 10-15 minutes which is extremely quick. Let it be noted that they only do carry-out.

Upon arriving, I could tell from all the pictures and stories on the wall that Sal was quite the Guy in the pizza realm. There were numerous awards and newspaper highlights showing how awesome this pizza is. Also, there were some really cool shots of, who I assume to be, Sal and some celebrities.

The only reason I knocked this place a star was that they didn't take my order correctly and forgot to add the wings.

Overall, this was some of the best I've ever had in NM. It tastes like true NY pizza. Way to go Sal-E-Boy! Keep baking those awesome pies!

All I can say is wow. This is definitely the most authentic ny style pizza in Albuquerque. We live on the NW side and we would definitely make the trip for this pizza without hesitation.

A plain ny giant pizza (24') is about $20. Each additional topping is about $2. Sounds expensive but they load those toppings on there!

If you don't try this place at least once, it's your loss.

      Half sal special half pepperoni.

Ordered a large Sal's special to go. Really great service, very tasty pie, generous toppings and great flavors, but the stability of the pie was lacking. The middle was a little thin and couldn't really hold the weight of the toppings, but definitely worth the visit.

OMG! Sal-E-Boy's pizza is amazing! I had the Sal's Special and my husband and I couldn't get enough! Such delicious authentic pizza with fresh and quality toppings and a perfect crust. Love that it's locally owned too. Can't wait to go back!

Close to east coast pizza. Hard to find good pizza in NM. Being a Jersey girl I miss all the good Italian food but this pizza comes pretty close.
