Happened upon this place and I am glad that I stopped. They had a Porter on tap. It wasn't very busy so I was able to grab a spot at the bar. Good amount of room inside and covered seating outside. I had the Pork Belly Mac n Cheese with the green chile. It came with a small salad. The salad was fresh and the Mac n cheese was tasty and spicy.
Good beer, good food, good vibes.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Barbara R.Las Vegas, NV42811Mar 26, 2024
Great food. Prepared with fresh ingredients. Very fresh! Loved the Starr Struck IPA and the Starrgarita. Excellent service and fun ambience.

Beer and service was good food was ok. This place is also great to watch sports on TV. We enjoyed our appetizers more than the main course.
For appetizers, we had goat cheese nuggets & piggy pops. Both were good and would get again, but we also want to try other items. My bf had the buffalo wings, and I had the tortilla burger. He enjoyed the wings and said they could have put more sauce on them, but they were cooked well. The tortilla burger looked better than it tasted. It was very dry, and the ketchup that comes with the fries tastes like bbq sauce. I asked for regular ketchup, but they said they didn't have any.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Dec 3, 2023
Ambiance was great! Not very full not loud to where you can't speak it was nice. Service was also great! Food was ok. I ordered the grilled beets and goat cheese salad. The beets are not grilled they are canned. The rest of he salad was ok. The truffle fries, the pork belly was sure just reheated not fresh either. I do think if ingredients were fresh they would be great dishes. But overall I would come back for drinks.

Being from out of state, I would have never even found this fantastic restaurant if it wasn't for my "Harvest Host" app! Being a motorhome owner, it's not always easy finding a "stop for the night", but with our HH we found Starr Bros!
I ordered the Wedge Salad, with the promise from my wife that I could order a side order of their Beer Battered Onion Rings with smoked garlic dressing! OMG, that was the best Wedge Salad that I have ever ordered, and what a portion! But seriously, the Onion Rings were "to dye for"! They were absolutely fantastic! My wife ordered the Roasted Beet & Goat Cheese Salad, and it was so delicious, but huge, and she has enough leftovers for another meal!
The service was really good, the beer I ordered was very good and the cleanliness and over all atmosphere of Starr Bros will definitely have us coming back if we are ever in the area again!
Thank you John, from Starr Bros for allowing us to stay, and to Harvest Host for this great destination!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jul 19, 2022
How disappointing that this business does not answer its phone such that a large group can't make a reservation. That is the major theme of this review.
Thirteen of us arrived at 3:30. We put three tables close together and sat waiting ... The ONLY server on duty told us we needed to make a reservation. My response was, "I tried. I called and got an automated message saying that if I wanted to order food to use the website."
So the server, who was overwhelmed, told us it would be at least 15 minutes before she could take our orders. We are a patient bunch and were willing to wait. We even cleaned our tables. We were also told not to go to the bar to order drinks. We sat obediently and when our server came to take our orders she asked if we were all on one check. I said NO and I just knew she could not handle giving multiple checks so I asked the group if we should go elsewhere. They said yes, she did not protest and actually SMILED as we got up to leave.
We left and went to Tin Can Alley 2 miles away where we had a great experience.
I was so DISAPPOINTED that we were unable to experience Starr Brothers food and beverages. I also recognize that businesses are struggling to find help. And I do try to be honorable and give the business a heads up when we are planning to arrive - but if they don't offer online reservations, and they don't take reservations over the phone then what am I to do?
I hope management reads this and takes steps to fix these issues.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 28, 2022
This place was suggested by someone and I was happy to have gone. The food was good and the service was great. For this who are not beer drinkers there are other options to choose of adult beverages. We saw other tables get food and it all looked great. There is plenty of seating and when it's warm seating outside. Want to go back.

It's ok at night, better during a chill day than a heavy weekend late night. I stay a block away at Comfort Suites. It's an easy walk there and hobble back. The seats are severely hard. Take your stadium seats with you. The staff is mostly kinda snobbish and inconsistent. The kitchen closes too early. The food is subpar with great ideas but poor execution. We went in with high expectations from new reviews. But it was a bit lackluster. All the staff did, after 9pm, was gossip at the bar. The Red Zepplin is a very nice American Red Ale. The menu looks great but there are no late night eats. Unfortunately, I catch them when the kitchen is closed a lot. I want piggy pops, poutine burqueño, and truffle fries. With more attentive and mature staff, more variety and better culinary practice, more comfortable seating and colder a/c, it would be my goto place while staying nearby. As it is now I'd rather go to Tin Can Alley or Stone Face Bar. Get with it Starr, please.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 21, 2020Previous reviewSo Star Bros has been a little inconsistent as far as service and brewing, most of the food fare has been good and the lighter ales and lagers were tasty. But the darker beers have been a bit rough and unrefined. The lagers and light ales are great. The porter is really rough, be sure to eat something with it. Kolsch is nice and mellow. Mexican lager is refreshing, crisp and mild. We got an order of wings with BBQ sauce and pork belly Mac and cheese. The food was great. I would try the poutine next. While service was ok and food was good, I can only give this place 2 stars. I am so glad we just got take out. Most people were conversing and going about business like there was no pandemic and NM didn't mandate masks. I get people must eat and drink. But didn't seem have any masks, weren't 6 ft apart, and looked at us like we were aliens during a pandemic that already took 118k American lives. One of the servers was wearing a mask without covering his nose and employees didn't enforce guidelines. I was glad to get out quickly. Good luck folks, won't be back until you take it seriously. I am at high risk for health and age reasons. But no worries, 5 Star Burger will have my health and taste buds in mind.
