Perfectly acceptable Mexican food. I got the chicken taco plate. Two crunchy tacos, pretty deeply fried. Beans. Rice. For $10. Pretty good.

Seemed overpriced for amount of food we received. Asked for water and were told they were out of- seemed sketchy

Thought i would try a couple tacos and a enchalada plate to go....when i got home they forgot one taco and there was no sause. So i went back the next day and got a burrito plate and told her about my missing taco. she acted loke she understood me but tried to charge me 36.95...i was like what!??...then she said oh wait 25.44....i was like o....whatever....then i asked for a side of chips and it was 7.95......so i didnt go for that. when i got home...guess what....no sause.
other than them being overpriced.....the food is not that great anyway....won't be going back there if i can help it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Feb 22, 2022
I have to admit, the fly trap hanging prominently on the wall was kind of a turn-off and made me want to leave.
The guy taking orders was friendly but he didn't struggled taking an order from another customer asking for Chili ... understandably, because he was thinking Texas-style chili and not chile.
I didn't have a problem with my order and it came out fast.
It wasn't phenomenal or bad. It was was just overpriced and portions were small. So imagine paying for a Taco Bell burrito and paying twice the price. It was better than Taco Bell but not by much.
Btw. It's an old repurposed Taco Bell which is really what drove the comparison. They have the KFC and Taco Bell stickers still on the door.
Should you stay away? If it's open and nothing else is go for it.
Otherwise, head over to one a little further to Ramona's if they are open. It's only a little further down and worth extra drive.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 1 - Sam A.TX, TX03Sep 12, 2023

The food is always disappointing every time I go here. The one up in silver city is a lot better. The cook sucks at this location. No flavor in the food. Watery ass guacamole. I miss the taco shops in San Diego. Never had a problem at any of them. I would have been better off at McDonalds and spending $6 for fast food then spending $23 on crap.

Yeah they're huge because of all the fillers they put in there but I'd prefer quality over quantity. I had their tacos, ok, lacking flavor. Their super burrito, it's alright, lots of fillers - lettuce, rice and lacking flavor. They're carneasada quesadilla is bomb, I will say. Guess I'm sticking to what I know is good here.
Someone also stated it depends on the cook. Well, they need to be consistent.
Some lady just gave back a large Jamaica drink and she told the cashier it tasted old. That's disgusting. What if the lady gets ill from drinking who knows how old the jamaica or horchata drinks are. - Damian K.Corona, CA14615Feb 23, 2023
Check this place out . I have been by this place many times in traveling from California to Texas . Today I stopped in not expecting much . This place is the closest thing to California Mexican food you can get off the side of the road . Everything was more then I expected. I won't hesitate to stop in next time I'm coming through. I hope this place does well .

Southern New Mexico is all about green chile and their green chile burrito is all you could ask for: generous chunks of roasted pork, local green chile, and a tortilla so thin and crispy it almost resembles buttery phyllo.
Seemed a little pricey at $10 until the monster burro arrived and it's clearly going to be 2-3 wonderful meals for me. I'll be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mike E.Crescent City, CA1122614Feb 24, 2023
Below par fast food Mexican food. There are only a few places to grab some food in Lordsburg so you might be tempted. Just don't do it. Stay strong and keep driving.
