My allergies are wheat gluten dairy and soy I called ahead and they said they sprayed the grill with soy. I was willing to take the chance I didn't have an allergic reaction so what I guessed it was minimal.
I got the salad with steak and it was really good no feta. My dad got the buffalo burger I think. We went last week. Hostess was really nice service was great I do recommend making reservations ahead of time. It was nice old style west.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 2, 2024
Here is what I hate about restaurants: This 5-10 minutes unnecessary wait when the restaurant is not busy. I did not have a reservation and walked in and was told that I needed to wait for service to catch up or I can sit at the bar. I walked in to sit at the bar but it was almost full but looking around I found that 2/3 of the restaurant was empty so I thought I will just wait. So I sat outside again waiting for "a table" and after the "mandatory" five minutes wait I was seated. Why did that happen? Not sure.
Service after that was good and quick.
The restaurant style is nice but if you look up at vents you will see a lot of dust piling up like it hasn't been cleaned since this place was open which is not really a good sign.
I had some chicken tacos which were very delicious in flavor so that's a good thing. I didn't sample many items on the menu as I was in a rush so I am hoping other items are good as well.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - JoMama F.Camarillo, CA36139307Mar 16, 2024
Arrived on a very windy day in Albuquerque and this was the only resto
we saw that was open in Old Town. The resto looked small from the outside but it is quite spacious inside. I ordered chile relleno with the sauces on the side and it was good. I also got the blue tacos and it is stuffed with a lot of carnitas. We also ordered Brie empanadas and omg - it was the best.
Service was fast but I wish they would check on us to see if we need more water etc. but the server only came to get our order, deliver our food, give us the bill, and to give us the receipt.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 11, 2024
Service great as always.
I don't know what happened to the red chile beef bites... The taste was there, but the sauce was more a red chile flavored broth than the luscious, buttery, thickened sauce from the days of yore.
I ate it, but it didn't have the wow factor of the past, especially as the broth soaked through the supposed flash-fry that landed the most tender little crunch with each bite.
Please bring back the proper thickened sauce...Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tochka R.Albuquerque, NM0139113May 5, 20241 check-in
This classic old west bar and restaurant in Old Town is a real treasure. The setting is a series of rooms with beautiful ceilings with vigas and adobe style walls. The menu has steaks and Mexican cuisine and the food is very tasty. Been going here for many years; highly recommended.

This restaurant never gets old. It still carries the same holiday flair and the food is delicious! It is a staple of Old Town! Our staff went to lunch to celebrate a birthday. Christmas was in the air and the restaurant had the feel and look of the season.
We each ordered our dish and had great service in assuring our requests were met. From the enchiladas, to the green chili stew and those beef tips. Wow! All items tasted great and reminded me of years past when my mother would take us there during the holidays.
I plan to head back again now in December to share this experience with my husband. It is a perfect date night place!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 7, 2023
We stumbled into High Noon for the green chili stew... and they were out! #sadface
Sad we missed out on this local legendary item, but that's what you get for visiting during the busiest week of the year.
I had the whiskey blackberry tea and it was pretty sweet but strong. My husband had a boulevardier that he enjoyed! We also split some Brie empanadas that were epically amazing - creamy, sweet, and perfect for a dessert. Our bartender was also super friendly and interesting!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Amy S.Seattle, WA3012234Mar 27, 2024
Fun and delicious, very friendly staff. We got blue corn enchiladas and tacos (the tacos were HUGE), I subbed the chili relleno for a hand rolled house made taquitos (sooo yummy!). The Tres Amigos appetizer was also delicious.

Heard about their history from one of the touristy history tours in old town. Had to give them a try, they kept the old vibe, but everything looks nice and new. We sat at the bar, since there was a waiting for tables, and it was fun, got to talk with other tourists, shared stories. We tried the famous beef bites and the green chili beef stew, and also the empanadas, they were all really good. Nice selection of local beesr on tap, they can also make any cocktails. This restaurant was in the same family for like three generations, so service is really nice, and you get to talk to everyone who works here at the bar. Parking seems to be a nightmare in old town, so share a ride or park far on the street and walk.
