Dinner for Two

We came for Valentine's Day & it was our very first time here. It was definitely a memorable one!
We made reservations a while back, which I always recommend making, being that you never know how busy a place may be on any particular night. Parking for the restaurant is located just down the street & not too far of a walk.
When we arrived we were seated almost immediately & were given a fresh rose to celebrate the occasion. The dining room is big & the tables are seated next to each other. I thought I would have an issue with this seating arrangement but it was not bad at all. We had some small talk with our fellow diners about the different drinks we had.
The drinks were definitely one of the highlights! We ordered the Damé tu leche/Chingon Margarita/The Brute Force & La Llorona Tears. All were very good & came with their own personality and style.
We also ordered the Table Side Caesar, a nice show and it was interesting to see the salad freshly made in front of you including the croutons. The waiter was very nice & asked how much of particular ingredients we wanted over all in our salad. I must say it was the best Caesar Salad I've had.
For our entree, I had the New York Strip & my significant other had the Seafood Sampler. Both were excellent choices & cooked to perfection. It was the perfect portion, we had enough room to ask for dessert. They have quite a nice selection of choices, all freshly made. We chose the Tres Leches Cake. It was over the moon!
I was very much satisfied with our service, food & drinks. I definitely recommend this place for a nice night out whether you're in town for a night or two; or just to have a nice night out in general. Now the price is up there but for what you're paying, it is all worth it! No doubt we will be returning for another great evening & to dip into other menu items.

Stopped in on Saturday for the happy hour eats and drinks. It was a great choice, my daughter and son-in-law had been here before so they knew some of the menu items to start off with.

We rolled through the happy hour menu a few times. My daughter and I started with a Love Bubble Margarita. Right off I knew they were trouble, so very tasty! Then we started on the apps menu. We ordered 2 of the Beef Tips with Green Chili Queso, Crispy Pumpkin Ravioli, Salmon Fish n' Chips Truffle & Garlic Fries, Beet and Strawberry Salad and 2 orders of the Oyster Mushroom Risotto.

Everything was so fricking good! Just one call out, the Risotto was just a bit under cooked, but was still delicious.

The second time through we ordered the Chicken Wiiiings and Coconut Shrimp. Somehow they missed the shrimp so we went for the Carrot Cake for the finale.

So, the breakdown on what was the best, that is a tough one, and what a great problem to have. I would have to put the Beef Tips with Green Chili Queso first, the Wiiiings second, then Salmon Fish n' Chips with Truffle Fries and Pumpkin Ravioli. Definitely order everything again, and maybe try some things we did not order this time around.

Third review and the best as always because of the food, service, and ambiance in the restaurant. Clean comforting and amazing all around. Been here three times and is the go to location for New Mexico! If you're visiting from out of state be sure to come to Santa Fe!

In Santa Fe, we enjoyed a lovely well-located restaurant for Sunday brunch.
My daughter enjoyed the Surf and Turf Discata, which was a great dish full of several meats.
The waiter suggested a couple favorites, so I ordered and truly enjoyed the Breakfast Burrito, served with green chile sauce on top. It was accompanied by a generous serving of black beans. The burrito was a large serving and was great, but I couldn't eat all of it.
The greeter and waiter were both so friendly. The quiet ambiance and white tablecloths were delightful.
If you're in Santa Fe on a weekend, be sure to get a reservation at Dinner for Two...a great choice for brunch or dinner!

We came for the happy hour and bubble margaritas. Absolutely fun and then worked our way through the several other choices with us finishing with carrot cake. The kitchen was so fast with great service and art on the walls. OMG. So good. This is a place not to miss in Santa Fe.

A group of us went to Dinner for Two where we were treated with old world charm. Table side Caesar Salad made from scratch tasted delicious. Something I haven't seen for some time.
The unique drink menu names gave us a laugh. We all had to order a speciality drink. Everything was delicious. Service was first class. There were 10 of us celebrating Mother's Day. Some had never been here but all agreed to return.

The building is small but nice and the ambiance is just right. The food is excellent and they have a great menu variety. They also do little stuff to make it a little more special like table side prep.

Amazing mole. After dining at several "nicer" Santa Fe restaurants, this place topped them all. Not a lot of mole where I live so I make a point of getting all I can when I make it to Santa Fe. This was hands down the best. Probably the best margaritas I had too. Can't speak to anything else on the menu, but if you are looking for mole, don't miss this one. Great service too.

From my special drink in the mandolins tiki cup to the mushroom soup (yum) to our entree of steak/shrimp/lobster tail, it was all fantastic!!

Made a last minute reservation yesterday to get in for dinner. The staff was very friendly and we were seated right on time. We opted for crab cakes, table side Caesar salad and the chateaubriand along with a couple glasses of wine. I was a little disappointed that everything except the tenderloin was under seasoned. The crab cakes, the Caesar, the vegetables.. everything needed a bit of salt. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked and had delicious flavor. For this price point though, I would expect a bit more all the way around. Now seeing another review about automatic gratuity being added, I wish I had liked closer at the bill. Waitstaff absolutely earn their money but if gratuity was already included, I spent far too much after adding a generous extra tip. Not sure I would hurry back with so many other places in town.
